Wide-Eyed and Boohoo.

In connection with Boohoo's #wherewestand campaign, I've got a bunch of new goodies to style. Here's just one look I've put together which is monochrome and sport luxe - two things I've been into for ages that happen to be all sorts of cool again this season. Fortuitous.

This campaign offers Boohoo customers the chance to win a city break for two by showcasing their Boohoo style. To be in it to win it, upload a photo to twitter or instagram and tag it #wherewestand and @boohooofficial. You might also be featured on Boohoo's site which is a cool little bonus!

Without further ado...photos of me posing awkwardly.

Stellar.

She's done it again.

The Stella McCartney Pre A/W 2013-14 has me excited for next winter...and this one isn't even over yet.

But, seriously, it's kind of a blockbuster of a collection. First of all, I'm loving the shots which aren't always super-exciting for pre collections. But the combination of fun, cute model and plain but textured and visually interesting background is great. And then there are the clothes themselves.

It's almost like a checklist of things I love: ankle boots; chunky, wearable heels; navy; black; burgundy; camel; bombers; mannish coats; capes; a touch of androgyny; elegant silhouettes; and last, but not least, ultra-cool, uber-modern styling.

Love it.

Bombers.

The bomber. Shall I compare thee to a summer's day? Thou art more versatile - can be worn elegant or urban and young. Thou art more varied - from print to block colours, from hip-length to full, from jacket to dress. Thou art lovely when worn on a summer's day or in the depths of coldest winter.

Have a gawk. These are some lovelies. Clearly. Inspired my faux-try above.

But I really do love a bomber.

Coats and Jackets from Zara.

Zara, seriously, stop it. Your clothes are too wonderful and I don't have enough money to buy them all. No, really. SQUEEEEEEE.

Okay, I've calmed myself a bit. Zara's offering some amazing coats and jackets for this coming cooler season. Here are just some of the best of the best and my personal favourites:

1. The Sequin Bomber - Because I'm bomber jacket crazy and sequins often spell tack for me but here? Spot on. What kind of damaged individual would say no to a bomber that looks equally good paired with a tee and jeans and a party dress?

2. The Mannish Coat - Because androgyny is in and this coat will never, ever be out. This is a wonderful example of a timeless, wear-til-it-tears garment. A must-have for every wardrobe.

3. Oversized leather - Because it's very versatile. You can make this waistcoat punk, darkly romantic or It-Girl cool. Run with it. Or better yet, run to me with one. Right now.

4. The Achingly Modern Cool - Because you want to be what you wear. This linen jacket is another highly versatile number that is fresh, a unique take on the biker and an easy way to rock A/W pastels.

I awoke to another surprisingly beautiful day in Dublin and had not packed for such weather. I ditched my tights but this vintage black shift dress and my new silky bomber (à la "Drive") were unbearably warm as the boyf and I wandered around the city. Thankfully we headed back to his family home where good food and lovelier treatment awaited. I'm not really a guest anymore after five years but everyone's still uber-nice to me. And they feed me so well! Kind of a trend in my life - I befriend good cooks and people who like to make me tea. Pear and Apple Tart AND Plum and Apple Crumble in one day...Dear God, I just realised how much I talk about food in this blog nowadays...he's made me as obsessed with food as he is!

Anyhoo, spent a lovely day on their lovely patio (made beautiful by his mother but, as an organic farmer, it only makes sense that she has a green thumb) surrounded by family, friends, a slew of animals, flowers and fantastic food. Sometimes you just sit back and realise how lucky you are in life.
