So, this week I turned 22 and my birthday marked mine and my boyfriend's six-year anniversary. I also never got around to celebrating a year of the blog back in May but now seems the time to tip my hat to that and the almost 50,000 page views I have accumulated so far. It may still be the minor leagues but I appreciate every view from every one of you. Major mwah. (Salute à la How I Met Your Mother)

Bonjour!

I've been crap lately - I wholeheartedly acknowledge this. I returned from Paris on Wednesday but it was technically Thursday before I got home. Then Thursday and Friday were spent meeting friends before Christmas and before I returned to the back-arse of nowhere. Which is where I am right now...which is part of the reason as to why I continue to be crap. I forgot how damn slow the internet is here; so bad, in fact, that uploading a single image makes my laptop weep and freak out. It's all rather harrowing. So, in the mean time, while I pine for Paris and you await some great (slightly sneakily taken) pictures of it, I will do a quick lazy post so you know I haven't died or something.

I mentioned before that I had written pieces for The Fair, a new Irish fashion magazine. Two of these are now in their first official issue of the magazine, whereas before they been among those posted as a collection of articles in a more blog-ish style. I know, I know. Excuses, excuses.

But on another note: Almost at 10, 000 pageviews which is kinda crazy and amazing - acrazing? - so, wow, thanks, you guys! I know it's not a lot for the big-time bloggers who get hundreds of thousands of pageviews each month but I'm pretty proud of where I've gotten to and it's largely thanks to you guys, so, y'know, much love for that.

In other fashion news, Vogue is half price again this month! Yay, for buying the bible while still being able to afford dinner. Don't have to pull any Carries this month.

And, I admit that this is a lazy post but if you have time, do look at the following. It's the hugely celebrated A/W 2010 Alexander McQueen collection which everyone is looking back to at the moment because of the baroque trend. This, my friends, is how you make the past relevant. Another example of an artist, pure and simple, who was lost to us before their time. The world is significantly less beautiful without him.

Hey, guys! Sorry I've been crap with posts as of late...I did warn you that college starting up again would cause this...Anyway, this post is gonna be a lazy one because I took lots of pictures today but left my camera cable in my apartment and then went home for the weekend. Goddamn. I just wanted to say thanks to everyone who has been reading (I'm about to get soppy and emotional because it's the end of summer). I've met a few people in the last couple of days who have said the loveliest of things. So, I genuinely thank you all because it's been a bit of a learning curve and there's probably been some rocky moments that you've stuck with me through. I don't know who I love more for this; the people who already know/love me or the randomers who found me through this blog and became a bit of a pep squad. Either which way you're both great!

In other news, as soon as I get my shizz together there will be a major stylistic overhaul of this blog. Perhaps even a move to another platform (as good to me as Blogger has been). I want to go for something simpler, cleaner and more reflecting of where my aesthetic has gone. That's one thing I can definitely say for the blog, it's taught me a lot about myself and my personal style.

I also want to get an online photography portfolio set up because my pictures are generally better when I'm not trying to be both model (noise of derision) and photographer. We'll see if and when this actually happens.

Another thing is that I stumbled upon this blog (http://leloveimage.blogspot.ie/) and it's sister blogs by accident and they are all awesome for various reasons so you should definitely check them all out!

Used Wordle out of interest, to see what words I use most often in this blog. Lunch was up there which is none too surprising. But hope was also a common word and that did surprise me. Maybe I'm more positive than I thought...
