Sportswear actually being worn during sport...huh?!

Randomly sunny and lovely today. Chaos of new furniture continues in the house so James and I escaped for a while to play tennis down in the ball alley. The graffiti there is some of the lamest, most ridiculous in the world. It's so embarrassing, I posed in front of only the most innocuous of it. For once I was actually playing sport while wearing a sporty outfit. I guess the universe aligns itself like that every now and again.

Back home.

Back from visiting my roomie in Cavan today. It's always weird saying goodbye over the summer because we see each other every day during the college year, so it was great to spend time with her. Now she's off to get her Lara Croft on for a bit! I'm physically sore from how much we all laughed but a great time was had by all. This is the reason the outfit posts have been so...well, non-existent but I've taken pictures so they'll be up!

The following outfit is comfy for journeying home and then trekking around shops in Dublin with Sarah D for hours with luggage. It doesn't really conform to any style or look...There's some hippy in there with the headband, there's the Aztec prints I'm so fond of, there's polka-dot tights, a preppy denim dress and gothy runners. I'm such a mess of a human being!

Benefit's new mascara. Allowed a woman to do my whole face and then didn't buy any of the make-up because I don't really care about it...

Screw Mayan prophecies and gimme Aztec prints!

Despite the cold and rain, I'm going from hot to cold all day, thus the clothes are baggy and airy but with scope for layers. I love these leggings as they are kind of the perfect Aztec print and the combination of colours is fantastic. They are also one of the few Aztec-printed items I indulged in, despite my desire to buy everything mildly Aztec-influenced this season. I've always loved the Aztecs; did several projects on them in Primary School, read anything Horrible Histories had to say about 'em and delighted in disgusting my mother with accounts of their sacrifices et merde. Like Joan of Arc, they were one of my random, weird childhood obsessions.

I also adore this tank. It's way oversize so it covers the butt which is good because leggings without a dress or long top over them are never okay. I don't care how thin you are. Wobbling still happens. Put it away. Moving on from that mini-rant (but, really, I'm trying to improve the world a little here by saying this), I bought it in a River Island sale and the oversize was more because (a) I liked it and it wasn't in smaller sizes and (b) Money burns a deep, painful hole in my pocket. However, it being oversized has come in handy, like example. I tend to only ever shop the men's and oversize women's in the RI sales as they seem to attract pure trash and tack otherwise; so much bad neon. Shudder.

My best buy EVER.

Thought I'd give a shout-out to the greatest bargain I've ever found. It was a normal day, really, and I was wandering aimlessly through TK Maxx. About to leave, in fact. Suddenly I saw blue (my favourite colour), a bow, tribalesque beading, size 7 and, oh yeah, 10 euro. I picked the shoes up, they were calling out to me, and read their inside: Stella McCartney.

I looked them up online once, the RRP was over a thousand dollars, you can do the math. Ugh, maths.

They're pretty high and pretty dressy so I wear them rarely but we often stare at each other across my room and we know that our love is true.

Really good promo photos.

Their home among my other shoes...
