Topshop Pyjamas

Had quite a Christmassy weekend at home and it made me think about pyjamas. Me and my sibs get new jammies every Christmas eve and here are some goodies from Topshop which will be definite contenders this year. Such cute jim-jams!

I LOVE Labyrinth and these pj's were so sweet that I almost cried a little.

How adorable!

These are quite sexy but in a non-flaunty kind of way - remind me of a more modest version of Anya's pyjamas in the musical episode of Buffy.

Loving the vintage feel of this one!

Most Awesome Slippers

...because slippers are adorable and cosy and these ones from the Parisian brand Chatelles can be monogrammed and have French poetry sewn inside them. I love the origins story and their site is uber-charming too.

Reeeeal comfy.

A super-comfy outfit from the other day. It photographed weird, probably the camera angle, so the proportions look all wacky. The last full-length is probably the most accurate. Another take on the pyjama influence trend with lots of soft cottons, loose fits and some worn-in vintage oversized denim.

Fluffy slippers as an accessory?

I spent most of the day in an outfit inspired by stereotypically slobby middle-aged men in the white wife-beater - quite trailer trash - but I gave it a fashion twist. Both the tank and shirt are oversized River Island attire at its best. Often their clothes are cooler when bought in larger sizes and worn in a more relaxed way and I love playing with traditional wardrobe staples that are worn at unusual lengths or with different silhouettes. I'm photographed here in my favourite fluffy slippers reading Dubliners upside-down (the idea of my brother/photographer for the day) and sipping a really awesome Japanese beer (Kirin Ichiban) that we had with our fancy family dinner. The overall effect is a confused mish-mash of literature, fancy beers, fashion and slobbiness. I could have put on real shoes for the photo but I like what the slippers brought to the outfit.
