So, last weekend I was away in the West of Ireland with friends. High maintenance is neither my style nor an option when sharing a house with 12 other people so it was necessary to pack easy, wearable, interchangeable options. As per, I packed wayyy too much yet managed to fit it all easily in a backpack. I largely stuck to a tank, boyfriend jean and light knitwear formula but also had dresses on hand in case dining got fancy (it didn't).

The Architecture-Perv is foiled.
These are photos from our lunch (there I go using that word again) in Bantry House. Sadly, I didn't get to architecture-perv on the inside, as shortly after eating we had to run to a pub to catch the moment that all of Ireland rejoiced. I'm positive it'll become Katie Taylor day - A national holiday to celebrate something going right for the country. However, I guess rushing off wasn't so bad as the match was the most nerve-racking eight minutes of my life, followed by my being a patriotic old saddo and crying in public. (Just a little though. I'm not that much of a sack.) Also, there are worse places to be than in a pub with your family for one of those events that people will continue to look back on and remember exactly where they were and what they were doing. Before our quick departure I managed to have an amazing sausage roll, good beer, great crisps and a lemon drizzle cake that induced all kinds of inappropriate noises. And I got to perv on the outside of the building and the grounds.
I was looking kind of polished for once, in a smart, menswear inspired outfit consisting of a cream vintage blazer, tweedy/sporty Topshop shorts, a navy shirt with awesome collar the same colour as the blazer and silver tips and my beloved peep-sneaks.

Kinda cool.
These pictures are from the first day of my holidays and were taken during the journey when the sibs and I went for a wander after lunch. I'm pretty casual because there was lots of being smushed in the backseat with said sibs. We've all gotten grown up and it's now a pretty tight squeeze. With this horror in mind, I went for my trusty Urban Renewal flannel, a fleecey Penney's varsity jacket and River Island skinnies. According to my sister (who rarely compliments anyone) I looked "kinda cool". Careful, with rave reviews like that, I may just get a big head.

More variations on the same theme.
More variations on the same theme. This time I paired the pink jumper with a silky pink playsuit that has a pretty floral print reminiscent of the pyjama trend as seen on catwalks recently. Currently on holidays with the fam in Cork and I've been keeping an eye out for southern streetstyle. Yet to snap anyone as I was distracted all day by climbing things and boats and cable-cars and food...Ah, well, I've a few days left yet. I shall hope.
