I'm loving this jumper. Not a big pink fan in general but this is quite a nice shade, plus it's super-comfy. I went with a kind of cute version of sportswear today with soft hues, a sequin collar and my beloved Alexander Wangesque Topshop shorts. I was just lounging around the house today, too tired to do anything. I've finally gotten a job and become a responsible adult so I'm pooped after a whopper shift last night. Ah, luxurious loungewear; loungewear you been all my life?

Short post today. I was rather busy coming up with article ideas for a possible job...fingers crossed!
More black and white. You kinda lose out on the soft palate of colours in today's outfit - coral jumper, floaty white dress, nude shoes and pink bag - but I just really love the quality of b&w! I'll probably return to some colour soon but for now just bear with me and let me have my fun!

Streetstyle III - Dublin
The last photo that I got of streetstyle in Dublin features two sisters - the coolest sisters in the world. I slightly chased them down the street but they were one pair I really couldn't let get away. It also was cool to find people together that were both dressed so well. I have yet to go, "Hi, can I take your photo for my blog?...Oh, no, not you, your friend..." I can imagine that's awkward so thanks to these guys for both being so awesome. The fact that there's a very soft, vintage outfit with a tougher military and bondage inspired outfit is really cool. These are two worlds that look surprisingly well together! I'm also loving the vintage makeup bag as a handbag - so inspired. And really - could they be cuter? Squee- fest over.

Streetstyle II - Dublin
The second girl I found for my new streetstyle section while in Dublin yesterday was sitting around and I'd just scored my first shot a few minutes beforehand. I wasn't sure if I was pushing my luck but she looked so perfect! I was also waiting for my boyfriend nearby and didn't want to get turned down and have to sit back down awkwardly when she was so close. She was, however, also very agreeable, which I appreciated and let me take my photo as she was. I really liked the mix of soft in the florals and the pastel palate of the outfit with the hard of the boots and studded cuff. I also liked the MCR bag, it's so nice when people don't forget where they came from and give a nod to their roots.

Valentino A/W 2012.
All the leather I have ever wanted is in this collection; a cape (a frickin' leather CAPE), a three-quarter length leather coat, a jumpsuit, a trench and the perfect skirt. Seriously, this leather is absolutely perfectly executed. These are investment pieces that will never date, never let you down and last a lifetime. I would buy literally every leather item here.
The dresses are wonderfully hippy-like and scream peace, love and easy glamour. They are mostly tunic shapes that skim over the body in a highly flattering and sextastic manner. There's a certain sense of demure and elegance, the lengths are usually full or just above the knee and cleavage and arms are largely covered. The female form is what is celebrated here, rather than flashed, and it is one's silhouette that lends the sex appeal to these dresses. The evening dresses are a little less demure but there is still little reliance on the exhibition of skin and more of a shift to the sexiness vampy reds and black lace.
The colour scheme is fairly restrained; black, white, red and some patterning. There is a simplicity about it all, more about the silhouette and detail than anything flashy. The collection is very timeless and romantic, I can imagine it looking fresh and enviable in any era. I love the play between minx and virgin. The full-on leather outfits juxtaposed with modest white dresses. It seems to speak of a heroine who is vampy and tough at times, soft and running through meadows of flowers at other times. Or, even, stunning in sparkly gowns on red carpets.
The entire look with the very pretty, girly, romantic hair and simple make-up is fresh and compliments, rather than distracts from, the timeless pieces of the collection:
