Knitlayers.

Even though it's getting warmer (wooop) it is still Ireland, after all. So, I'm not quite jumping the gun like that one guy you always see on the first sunny day of Spring who cracks out the shorts while we all shiver and judge him silently. This in-between period of warm but not hot is a great time for experimenting. Here I'm wearing a cardigan over a jumper for the cooler evening but the jumper is cropped and worn as a top by itself. The pants are a light material and also slightly cropped so they work for Spring as well. A lot of print is going on, especially for me, but I think it's still rather restrained due to the muted brownish-red, blue and black tones. On paper, that sounds disgusting but I rather like the result. The whole thing is quite playful - messing with lengths and mixing patterns.

Cardigan and Jumper - Zara - Pants - Urban Outfitters - Sneaker Wedges - Topshop - Earrings - Cos

I'm really loving this jumper. I can just imagine pairing it with a pencil skirt for summer nights out when it's chillier in the evening.

PLUS: I'm pretty excited by how long my hair is now! It's been a work in progress for years and is the longest it's ever been. I never blow-dry it so the nice wave going on here is purely from plaiting it when it was slightly damp still and leaving that until it was dry.

My New Babies

I've wanted some runner wedges and cat's eye sunglasses for so long now. Delighted to welcome them into my wardrobe. So fun! The Topshop voucher was put to good use and thanks to their recent 20% off for students it went even further than I expected.

The Best Sneaker Wedges out there!

...in various price brackets. If you read this blog semi-regularly you'll get that I like sportswear. If you full-on stalk the blog and other sites affiliated with it you'll get that I'm OBSESSED with sneaker wedges. Here's just a few of the best of the best.

1. Marc by Marc Jacobs: My personal faves. If only I had money/was physically capable of saving money. Originally 320 euro on netaporter they were at half price but are now sold out. GODDAMN!!! They come in various colours and are AWESOME. My personal favourites are the striped multi-colour and the white, as seen below.

2. Isabel Marant: So maybe I lied. These are also my favourites and like the above Jacobs ones they were at half-price on netaporter but are now no longer on sale. You would have paid 435 euro originally or 217.50 at half price but can now expect to pay much more via ebay and other such sites. Fucking vultures.

And now some highstreet (ie attainable) versions:

3. Jeffrey Campbell Firenze and Venice: Both 120 euro and one is a more colourful, interesting take while the other is a gorgeous navy or red and nice and simple.

4. Aldo: Again: simple and chic and 100 dollars which puts them at less than 100 euro.

5. Topshop: 1. Athlete Drum Trainers - Super-cute print and 75 pounds. 2. Acrobat Wedge Hi-Top trainers - Nice colour combination and 80 pounds. 3. Aerobic Sport Wedge Trainers - Simple and lovely and 48 pounds.
