12 Days of Giftmas - OPSH ¦ Giveaway

On the ninth day of Giftmas my true love gave to me, online shopping made cool and easy...

OPSH is the brain child of Irish fashion darlings, bloggers-turned-social-media-networkers-turned-e-commerce-stars, and all-around cool girls, the McGinn sisters. The concept is simple, an online store that brings together your favourite high street stores, makes it possible to shop them all through one portal and makes it easy to filter exactly what you want to cut through all the noise. Think Asos without the overwhelming search results. When you use OPSH, you can customise your search to include the type of item you're after, retailers you like, size etc.

The model is similar to ones that you're familiar elsewhere but done exceptionally well on a site that's engaging, nice to look at and carefully put together to make every part of the process easy and pleasant.

Add to this that it's an Irish tech-meets-fashion company run and spearheaded by awesome young Irish women? I can seriously get behind that and encourage others to do the same!

Which is why I had to include OPSH in the 12 Days of Giftmas.

The 12 Days of Giftmas is a project that occurred to me last week. An idea that I ambitiously decided to go through with very last minute - I must be a lunatic. It's a sort of advent calendar for me and my readers, a way of saying thank you for reading and rewarding you in a small way. For the first 12 days of December, I will be writing a post every day on a shop, brand or item that would make good gifts. This is instead of the long gift ideas posts I've done in the past and offers a more in-depth look at some amazing companies and things. To complement each post, I've also teamed up with these fantastic brands and will be giving something away each day! So, the 12 Days of Giftmas will give you some gift ideas and the potential to win something for a loved one (or yourself!).

If you're looking for gifts for a variety of people in your life, OPSH is the place to go. 12 Days of Giftmas - Willow ¦ Giveaway

On the seventh day of Giftmas my true love gave to me, clothes and a store that are cute as can be...

Last month, while exploring lots of retailers and brands on the Galway Fashion Trail, I came upon Willow and fell immediately, and deeply, in love. Saibh had been bigging the store up all day in advance of our visit and Grace was telling me that it was a branch of a store first establish in Ennis, Co Clare. The Galway store is, apparently, quite a bit bigger with more stock and is absolutely gorgeous. The décor is very cute with rustic and polished pieces of furniture set against quirky accents and focal pieces like low-hanging light fittings. The result is undeniably cool and makes you both want to be seen shopping there and to not want to leave. More importantly, the stock is even better with a really cool international vibe. We're talking streetstyle, cyber-celebrity level of cool clothes.

Which is why I just had to have a separate post on the store and had to feature them in the 12 Days of Giftmas.

I was already planning to post about Willow but the 12 Days is the perfect opportunity to share my love of the store and spread it further by sharing a giveaway from it as well! So you can experience how awesome Willow truly is, I have a €20.00 voucher to spend in store. Sadly, you can't currently use the vouchers directly online but if you call about an order, they will try and accommodate the purchase using their instore payment methods.

And it's well worth it as they have such a well-curated selection of items in store and carry amazing brands such as Ash, Almost Famous, Ted Baker, Darling, Guess, Finders Keepers, Lavish Alice, Sister Jane and more.

While the site is cute and easy to browse, I do recommend trying to visit one of the stores themselves as there is a much better selection and the surroundings and staff are so great. Plus, who doesn't want to spend time in Galway, in particular?

It's also worth bearing in mind, that the instore experience is far superior for Christmas shopping as there is a wide range of accessories and jewellery which will then be wrapped in the most absolutely darling/chic cardboard packages in a yellow, orange and salmon colour scheme. The same also goes for their gift vouchers - which are great for those who you think might like the store and its vibe but for whom you don't trust yourself to shop - which come in the cute boxes as seen below.

Willow is the Irish-owned store and site for clothing, shoes, accessories and jewellery that is my top tip for 2015 and is a must-see if you're visiting Galway or Ennis. I'm all about supporting local and independent retailers as they give cities a unique flavour and it'd be a real shame if we lost that. Willow epitomises everything that is great about Galway; it's welcoming, the people are friendly, design is on point and the whole thing is just damn pretty.

I really couldn't recommend it highly enough!
