You Met-ter believe it! - The best of the best.

Here are my five picks for best dressed at this year's Met Gala!

Emma Stone, Andrew Garfield

1. Emma Stone. (Thakoon)

Contemporary yet elegant yet young. Playful yet put together. How does she do it? The elegantly played down makeup and low-key accessories tame the more vibrant, casual hair and outfit and dress them up. Such a balanced look!

Plus, I just love her anyways.

2. Anna Kendrick. (J. Mendel)

I hardly knew thee! Gosh, what a surprise! So elegant and lovely. A modern-day Hepburn. Love how the cut-outs and origami-like folding breathe new life into a classic silhouette.

3. Joan Smalls (Vera Wang)

Posing with the designer of your garment (who is looking equally amazing)? Check. Rocking a serious statement lip with a lovely and demure gown? Double-check. Inspired combo, though others may disagree with me here.

4. Liu Wen (Zac Posen)

That colour! That silhouette! The hair and makeup! So dreamy and perfect. 'nough said.

5. Suki Waterhouse. (Burberry)

Done wrong, this could have been a cake-like disaster. However, that didn't happen. It's just right. So very pretty.

Zac, you're Posen a problem to my wallet.

Because I want to buy every piece for S/S.

Zac Posen is a reliable source for cute dresses girls will always want to wear. I've always appreciated his garments for their beauty but his latest show really impressed me in a different way. It helped that the styling was SO on point but the pieces themselves killed it. Dreamy, girly, princessy clothes that somehow avoid being overly saccharine and just seem relevant. Perhaps it's the underlying sex appeal and timeless silhouettes that stop them going from princessy to things pulled out of a dress-up box but whatever the case may be, there's no denying the instant appeal of these clothes. It's also nice that the pastel palette thing didn't stray into overly-literal and expected land.

The little girl inside me (who was 90% leg and usually in tiny shorts and a tee up a tree somewhere) would have gone crazy for this collection - tomboy or not, my eyes would be doing that cartoon, popping-out-on-springs thing, as I screamed "AROOOGA!"

Damn, Zac.
