Ripped

...or the closest I'll ever get to that description.

I'm all about the boyfriend jeans for comfort and breathing room and just looking cool. Rips and fraying only improve the look. Yet, however much I love this pair found in a random boutique by a brand I never remember and have never heard of before, they sacrifice the comfort factor for the aesthetic appeal. Layers of stiff treated denim make them look the way they do. Which is cool as they have a more fitted look, more tailored (for lack of a better word). Not cool is trying to cycle in them. Especially cycling twelve and a half kilometres in them.

Still, despite the casual flannel, the tousled hair, the Cons and rips and tears...the jeans pull it all together and dress up casual looks despite their own casual nature. They're just such a talking piece that they elevate an outfit from merely being comfortable to making a statement. And I do love when an outfit will do the talking for me or a single piece will make me look like a together human being with a plan in mind while getting dressed...

Flannel - Urban Renewal, Top - Primark (similar here), Cons, Jeans (similar here)

You guys have any pieces that do the talking/work for you?

Let's do lunch.

I haven''t done an outfit post in a bit - I know, I'm awful. Blame the dissertation! (Which is almost done - woo!)

For the first time in ages, I happened to have a camera, someone to take the photo and some daylight. So, here is a shot in Temple Bar - taken by the lovely Kate - while the sun made a brief but lovely appearance and we had lunch.

Cheating the system.

Here's one of my best friends in the world and me cheating at streetstyle. It's kinda lazy to use people you know, especially so well, but goddamn she was looking well! This is from my trip, visiting her hometown and she's looking too cool for school as if she isn't flattered that I asked her to be in my blog. Whatever, I'm on to you.

Proves the point that a certain someone who was rude enough to diss her style was super-wrong. I mean; red hair and grungey summer-wear? What more could you ask for?!

PS I also love that she stole from the boys here by buying her shirt in the men's section of River Island. She really is a soulmate!

The Japanese influence continues!

...I now blame it on my friend, Conor, as well as all the manga. He's off to Japan soon (exciting) and I spent the whole day with him and some other college buds today so Japan is doubly on my mind! I'm very tired after our invention of a new sport and lots of climbing and exploring so this isn't going to be an uber-detailed post. I will say that the following outfit was not only quite kawaii but it also was very practical! No problems running or climbing in this bad boy!

Peter Pan collared shirt - Penney's - Playsuit - Penney's - Hi-tops - Converse - Backpack - Royaltex - Cardigan - Marks and Spencer's

Sidenote: I'm super-excited to try out this new skirt that Mammy just gave me! It doesn't photograph all that hot but it's amazing! Yay for having a stylish mom to steal old clothes off of!
